Paris – Artis, LLC (Artis) and Bin Hilal Enterprises, LLC (BHE) today announced plans to form a joint venture (JV) to provide the Sentinel All-Threat Defeat System (known as Improved Iron Curtain or simply I2C overseas) active protection system for military vehicle fleets. The JV will offer original equipment, manufacturing and engineering services, and will extend to lifecycle support, spare parts, field services, warranty support and training.

Artis and BHE made the announcement during a signing today of a memorandum of understanding, which took place at Artis’ booth at the Eurosatory defense conference being held in Paris. The JV will meld the extensive active protection experience of Artis with the business and cultural acumen of BHE. Immediate efforts will include providing cooperation and support to provide the Sentinel system to local and regional allies.

“Sentinel is a third-generation APS, and is the most advanced system in the world. It is the only active protection system that can protect against all threats, including providing top-attack protection from a swarm of drones,” said Artis CEO Keith Brendley. “Sentinel also mitigates sabot rounds and fuzed threats. This MOU represents a critical component of our international growth strategy and directly supports our commitment to the United Arab Emirates,” he said.
